Thank you Gents. My brother got his rifle back Friday and loved it. He initially thought I sent him the wrong gun, until he saw the standing pony.

Not difficult with the correct tools.

No, as said, if you have the right tools it's easy. The part which stressed me out was removing the front sight base pins. That was much easier than I thought it would be.

Very nice thing to do for your brother. I love the look of the long rails on these guns. That was the first thing I did when I bought my first AR and my current build will be sporting the same 15" BCM alpha rail. Not to mention the longer sight radius helps accuracy when using irons.
