Most of my ESEE knives have come from Knifeworks, and a few have ended up with aftermarket scales from The Knife Connection. Both places have done well by me.

So you sent some in to this knife connection to do what , custom work ?

I'm not that familiar with the knife world . I'm a Case XX collector and I have a few Gerber knives . My grandfather and father left me there Case XX collections but im looking for a nice Fixed Blade for my WTSHF chest rig and and lock blade for my EDC . Just wanted a little better than $40 blade from local hardware store and don't want to carry any of my Grandfathers or fathers blades for fear of breaking and or losing one .
Again thanks to all you guys for the help with this and my AR questions .

I just buy the custom scales from The Knife Connection and swap the scales out myself- it's a genuinely straightforward and quick procedure. Some people like the flat-sided micarta ESEE factory scales that come with the knives, others don't dig them so much. Personally, I can live with the factory scales, but I really prefer the TKC scales on the little Izulas ( https://www.theknifeconnection.net/esee-izula-scales/ ).

If you get an ESEE knife and find your hand getting "hot spots" from the scales, the TKC scales are definitely worth consideration.

You can buy any of that stuff on thier forum. Those guys have huge collections and don't seem to mind parting with it at good prices.

I got TKC scales for a Candaru and really like them. I keep resisting buying a set for one of my Izulas.
