I dremeled the tabs, I believe it is a Gen I upper. If you send your upper receiver to Geissele they'll make you a custom rail, at least that's what customer service told me.

Great to know about Geissele! BAD did tell me they are willing to exchange out new in box gen 1 uppers for gen 2 also. I'm not sure gen 2 would work either with that rail however, which is why I asked.

I'm doing the same same battle arms receiver set (currently backordered) with a Faxon pencil barrel and BCM KMR.

I am working on a build right now using the B.A.D. LW receiver set and a few other B.A.D. goodies. The upper receiver and the LaRue barrel are with my gunsmith right now. Just waiting on him to do the M4 cuts on the barrel extension so that it matches up with the M4 feedramps on the receiver. The lower is already built and ready to go. Everything else is on hand and ready to go as soon as I get the upper and barrel back.

Here are the specs on this B.A.D. based build:

    Upper Assembly:
Battle Arms Development BAD556-LW Lightweight 7075-T6 Billet Upper Receiver
LaRue Tactical 18" Stealth Barrel w/ mid-length gas system
LaRue Tactical LT202 Low-Profile Gas Block, Gas Tube and Gas Tube Pin
LaRue Tactical TranQuilo 5.56 Muzzle Brake/Adapter
    LANTAC Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group
Strike Industries AR-15 Charging Handle w/ Extended Latch
FORTIS SWITCH 556 Rail System 14"
FORTIS SWIFT Short Angled Fore-End Grip (Keymod)
MAGPUL MBUS PRO Front and Rear Sights
    American Defense RECON-X 30mm mount
    VORTEX Strike Eagle 1-6x24 scope

    Lower Assembly:
Battle Arms Development BAD556-LW Lightweight 7075-T6 Billet Lower Receiver
Battle Arms Development BAD-EMMR Enhanced MODULAR Magazine Release - LARGE / BLACK
Battle Arms Development BAD-ASS-LW Ambi Safety Selector
Battle Arms Development BAD-EPS (Enhanced Pin Set) AR15
    Norgon Ambi-Catch™ Magazine Release
Forward Controls Augmented Bolt Catch/Release, Forged (ABC/R-F)
Executive Ordnance "Molon Labe" Pistol Grip w/ Stealth G-10 Panels (Blk)
BCM A5 Intermediate Buffer System Assembly
    MFT Battlelink Minimalist Stock (Blk)
Elftmann Tactical 3 Gun Single Stage Curved Bow Modular Trigger
    KNS Precision hammer/trigger pins

Here is the scope in the mount.

I am using the same mount on this build. The scope is a VORTEX VIPER PST 1-4x24 TMCQ MOA scope (w/ tactical turrets). It works really well for me.
