Fwiw, chrome is much harder than steel and copper. I would expect to see more wear from bimetal in a non lined barrel, but that's just an educated guess. The main question is will the wear cause loss of accuracy before throat erosion does?

Also, most "regular" bullets are guilding metal but I believe electroplated bullets such as federal fusion are pure copper. Gold dot pistol bullets are pure copper, I verified this, but haven't tested fusion myself.

    Cliff-
A pleasure to have you contact us and to be of service.
Assuming you mean Wolf, Tula, and similar low-cost ammunition, the bi-metal bullet will not present an issue. However, due to their composition, they will wear a bore faster than standard FMJ ammunition.
This is normal across any barrel type and up to the individual on if they want to accept the faster wear for the less expensive ammunition.
    Cheers,

There are no accidents; only ignorance, mechanical failure, and acts of God! I have loaded over 6 million rounds in the last 5 years and STILL have not seen it all!

I started loading for myself in 1986, In 2009, I started working for a small company in South Florida called Ammo Ammo. Since 2009 I have loaded almost 7 million rounds of ammunition....personally, on Dillon 1050s and Super 1050s. Waiting for my robot elbow replacement....

    Cliff,
Here is a link at the bottom of the page with a write up on that ammo. But we do not recommend using them because is a harder type of material which will in turn ruin your rifling of your barrels.
