Where can I get mil-spec takedown and pivot pins?

I recently had an assembled lower receiver that I had to send back to the manufacturer because of tolerance stacking. They replaced the lower receiver and, since it was assembled, they put a new LPK in the lower. The only downside from the experience is that they installed branded push pins. So... I'm looking for just replacement mil-spec takedown and pivot pins. I was going to buy Colt ones at Brownells, but the pivot pin is out of stock.

Does anyone know of anywhere else selling JUST mil-spec push pins? I'm looking for quality ones (DD/Colt/etc.).

    Thanks!

Its worth a shot to hit up Grant at G and R Tactical. He is a very active site supporter and has GREAT pricing on Colt products.

Specialized Armament sells all Colt parts, but they have a $50 minimum order and are slow to ship. I ordered all the small lower parts for a build and took about a month to get it.

Definitely hit him up. Great pricing on Colt Lpk and he might sell parts individually. If not, hit up brownells.

If you are going to spend the money or Colt you might as well buy the ones from Battle Arms Development.

Thanks, but the pivot pin they have in stock is a screw-type instead of captive detent. The regular type is out of stock. They were actually the first place I checked.

Yeah, that was my experience, which is why I haven't ordered from them.

Thanks - I'll check with him.

I saw those and was intrigued - they look great. However, the set is nearly double what the Colts cost (when they're in stock). Have you used them? Do you think they're worth the price? I'd likely buy 2-3 sets, so the increased cost ($30 vs $15) adds up quickly.

The pricing on the Colt ones went down from last I looked. Having said that, every AR I own has the Battle Arms pin sets on them. In the bigger scheme of things that are relatively cheap.

I was actually going to mention them as well. They are nice. Just a tad longer making them either to push out and they have an indentation in them so you can use a bullet nose to help push out stubborn pins while reducing the risk of slipping off and marring your receiver. The heads are also slightly larger and have an easier to grab surface. They are a little more expensive but they also come with the springs and detent pins. I like them and would recommend picking up at least one set to decide for yourself if they are worth the extra money to you.
Brownells has them for $25.36 and they have the 10% off $150 purchases going on. BATTLE ARMS DEVELOPMENT INC. - AR-15/M16 ENHANCED TAKEDOWN PINS

Yep, the BAD pin sets are the way to go; all my builds get them, along with their safety selectors.

I'm patiently waiting for the BAD to offer entire, customized LPKs.
