    Why don't you enlighten us?
Can you post a pic of a real one and point out the difference so we know what your talking about?

Op, I'd go for a magpul Para clip and rsa and hook into the top rail.

That is the alpha rail. Op has trx/vtac extreme rails.

I sold all my Troy/VTAC rails but when I had them, I preferred the Magpul RSA and 2 point sling with HK hook on the front and threaded the rear tri-glide through the stock.

The QD mounts that are popular are bulky, can accidentally disengage, and depending on whether the QD socket has a rotation limiter, can also twist up the sling.

If you have something to add then please do so. If not, stay out of this thread. Many companies have changed or altered their rails over time. Troy is no different.

titson... There is no receiver end attachment point. Stocks are LMT SOPMOD and Magpul ACS. I was hoping to hear some guidance on attachment methods, as I'm not much familiar with the possibilities.

As for the airsoft comments... right over my head. Don't get it at all? Yes, my gear is old... about 4-5 years as I recall.

Fess up? About what? I guess I don't know. What should I know that I don't?

I have the Troy VTAC rail on one of my guns and I use a proctor sling on it.. I use the supplied 550 cord loop and loop it through the slots on the rail. If you don't already have slings and are interested in a minimalist approach without any additional hardware the proctor slings are pretty awesome and come with a paracord loop for each end to direct attach to your gun however you like.

Also FWIW my old Troy rail (which I ordered directly from Troy 4-5 years ago) has the same 2 screw clamping design as both of yours.

I run the vtac alpha rails on one of my personal rifles and I use the vtac low profile sling mount on mine. I have a vtac sling that have QD on both ends and a magpul ms4 sling that has QD mounts sewn in. For me, they both work fine.

I don't know nothin' about airsoft, but the OP rail looks like what is on my Noveske VTAC.

I have used both the VTAC Low Profile mount and their Rail-less Swivel mount (current). http://www.vikingtactics.com/category-s/1844.htm

Ranger325... the VTAC Rail-Less Swivel Mount looks like just the ticket for me with my VTAC hand guard. Thank you.
