I hope this will also be available as a complete upper.

Now.....If Colt would just listen and release a OEM-3 version with this barrel and a shaved gas block.....
I think the new Colt is competitively priced, a complete BCM with a similar style rail is roughly the same price and the Colt seems to be undercutting the Daniel Defense V7 in price which is another similar rifle.

The DD V7 is the rifle that I am about to buy next. And the Colt 6960 is the rifle that is making me stop and think for a minute. I'd prefer a 15" rail on the Colt. And I'd prefer a 6 position RE. I don't know if Colt is using a 4 or a 6 position RE.

For me, the deciding factor will be what the actual retail price of the new Colt 6960 will be.

Seeking of pricing, has anyone found out what these are going to actually retail for. I know that MSRP is $1,299. Grant...?

    I don't.
Dude get a handle on it!

Regardless, I'm failing to see why this 6960 is set at the price point it is. I can get a comparable BCM for this price, and fit/finish will be nicer.
Let's compare apples to apples. The BCM RECCE-16 has an MSRP of $1400. The Colt has an MSRP of $1299. So that price point is inline with BCM.

For the record, I am no fan of TALO exclusives, but I also understand why Colt does these (as it is guaranteed sales).

    Grant,

Any idea of what you will retail this for?

Also, would you happen to know if Colt is still using a 4 position recover extension on this gun, or a 6 position?

I am guessing $1299. Supplies will be limited for sure. 4 position RE and H buffer.

The colt looks like a solid rifle, price isn't out of line at all.

Yeah it is. Hoping that's an optical illusion...
