Today they emailed me an invoice with the rifle's serial number. The invoice also shows a picture of an ARX100 SBR and the description "Beretta ARX100 SBR w/10" Barrel". We'll see...

Bingo.
They lure people in with a great deal on mags that actually ships and everyone goes "Wow, Botach is great!"
Then you go to order the $799.99 TA31RCOM4 ACOG and get the circle jerk for weeks. I have buddies that are total cheapskates and just say "Well, I'll dispute my CC if it doesn't ship" but I don't have the patience for that. A deal too good to be true is too good to be true.
I've never had an issue ordering from G&R or BCM.
Why do the loudest do the least?
Botach is like the lottery. You only spend as much as you're willing to lose. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes not. Id never do an nfa deal with them though.
Same here. I'd rather find a dealer I like, who has fair pricing and give them my business. I could probably find cheaper pizza, get my car fixed for 10% less and things like that if I was willing to put up with constant aggravation.
I do internet searches and I regularly find guns with 10% of my wholesale prices. Sometimes they have a deal bundled with "at cost mags" and free shipping on ammo that I buy something from them even though I'm a FFL. I wish Blaine at Atlantic was a jerkoff so I could say something bad about him because he's basically killing me with his prices.
But truth of the matter is you probably can't find a nicer guy or a better deal and that is why he is killing it on the internet. Why anyone would order anything from Hotach when outfits like Atlantic are out there is beyond me.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.
Chuck, we miss ya man.

Ask Blaine at Atlantic if he can get ARX100 SBR's and would sell them for $1000 or even $1100. I bet he'd sell every one he gets. As it is, I'm thinking part of the reason Botach is selling them so cheap is that few believe that they'll actually come through. I wouldn't have bothered at a higher price, but for $900 I figure it's worth the hassle for a chance at an SBR that is unavailable from anyone else.
Last I spoke to a lady at Botach she confirmed that their inventory was not on line.
They would accept orders without knowing for certain if they had the item in stock.
My best guess, now that a few years has passed, is that their ordering is still NOT linked to an inventory system.
Why to which part?
That wouldn't surprise me at all. When I called regarding the ARX100 and asked if they were in stock, I was told no by the lady I spoke with. I then asked to speak with the person that handles the NFA transfers. He told me they were in stock and the first person I spoke with was incorrect. So it seems that the operators don't even have visibility to what they do and don't have.
So a little follow up as of 1/24/18 the two OSS silencers I ordered from Botach.com in December 2017 have arrived at my dealer. It was about a 5 week turn around on those Form 3 transfers. I’d say Botach has turned it around in my opinion.
I guess if the bar is set that low, you'd be happy with a 5 week turnaround.
I bought cans from two different out of state dealers (plus one locally) two weeks ago on a Wednesday. F3s filed the same day and approved the next day. All shipped out on Thursday and arrived Monday and Tuesday. Less than a week from purchase to F4s being ready to sign.
