Shmuley Boteach is a self-aggrandizing POS. I say this as a Jew. He was kicked out of Chabad. We dealt with him.

Technically, and no one has been able to prove otherwise, he is not associated with Botach. However, I don't trust that slimy guy at all. I wouldn't doubt he has his hands on the operation somehow.

The "owner" of Botach is also a POS.

No one should be giving these people any money; PERIOD!

I have placed several small orders with Botach myself and not had issues, but eventually when you play with fire you will get burned. Good to hear you got a refund.

Oh NO! I hate to hear this...Ive had several good experiances with LAPG. And Botach myself. Ill be careful with both from now on!

My money will continue to be spent at: Primary Arms, SKD, DSG, G&R, and other companies that value quick shipping, and good customer service.

These are four outstanding companies to deal with. I'd add BCM to the list. They ship quickly. Have great prices and excellent communication.

Wow, I'm sorry for your bad experiences with LAPG. I've been a customer of theirs for years with no negative experiences over dozens of orders.

Botach, on the other hand, took over $200 for a pair of boots, then eventually stopped answering all phone calls and emails, including requests for a refund. That attempted purchase remains to this day the only chargeback I've ever requested. Nothing could change my negative opinion about that company.

I ordered a Beretta ARX-100 SBR from them at the end of July. Botach is fast. They sent it out the same day. Unfortunately, they shipped it to my house. Since I was paying attention and knew something was wrong, I spent three days trying to get them to reroute the package. They finally called it back from UPS. Turns out that they had shipped the ARX-100 SBR barrel assembly. Then over the course of a month and a half I received multiple promises that the SBR would be shipped to my FFL. It didn't happen. Eventually, I was told that they couldn't find one for the price I paid. Of course my response was to ask why they were showing stuff for sale that they don't have. Clearly they have no business ethics. One thing that I found kind of disturbing was when I called one day the automated response said they were closed for the Jewish holidays. Here's a clue Botach. If you're going to crap on people, don't advertise your religion. People might just correlate the two. I don't because I know good Jewish people, but man that's dumb.

Well it's been a couple of years and Botach still has the ARX100 SBR's on their website, so I decided to entertain myself since they're now $900. I figured it would likely end in hassle and a charge back, but I placed an order for one and had my FFL/SOT send over their information. It took about three weeks, but I received a tracking number today. Now it will be very interesting to see if an ARX100 SBR or a turd shows up at my dealer.

Maybe God looks out for me but I do lots of business with both notch and optics planet. Have had stuff be on backorder, but they always either fulfilled or refunded the order.

Most of my footwear is from botach. I wear a size 15 and every couple of months they have clearance sales on my size on their eBay stoor.

I guess I am lucky.

I'm amazed ANYONE buys anything from Botach given their track record and the many, many other options. Do you really need to save $8 that badly on a $1000 firearm?

The word has BEEN OUT, if you still order something from them or any of the other "usual suspects" then that's on you. If it works out, congratulations you saved $8...if it turns into some kind of nightmare, well most of us would pay $8 to avoid half the crap they are known for.

I probably lost 10% of my potential customer base because I won't even receive a firearm from Botach. I've even had people offer to "pay extra" (which never made sense to me as it defeats the purpose of saving $8) if I'd do the transfer for them. I always have to decline, but even when I suggest far more reputable distributors that have the same item within $25 of the same price probably half of them are just dead set on completing the order they placed.

Even if they paid me $100 to do the transfer (which would never happen) it still wouldn't be worth being "monkey in the middle" of an item advertised as "in stock" which then becomes backordered for up to 6 months with prices charged never a guarantee of anything.
