It does have storage just not in the side pieces. It's in the rear. There may be another version with even more storage on the sides eventually. The one in the picture has the current no storage lower part.

For you guys that follow LAV Live on Facebook, if you didn't watch tonight he talked a little more about the BCM stock and polymer keymod handguard. He said the stock was probably about a month or so out, and that the handguard would also be out this fall.

If you listen in at the 1:24:12 mark in the video he speaks of a few new BCM products due to come out later this year and into 2017, which include:

New stainless steel sling swivels

New picatinny sling mount

New aimpoint micro mount

A redesigned upper receiver that keeps the factory weight, but is stronger in key areas (BCM upper similar to the Vltor MUR I'm assuming).

New stock options that are designed to work with the A5 system

Overall, pretty exciting news. I'm very interested in the upper receiver and stock options. I'd love to see BCM do something similar to the A5 compatible UBR and PRS stocks , personally. I guess we'll see..

Yup, that was my first thought as well. Those uppers are gonna sell like crazy.
