Just got the email, awesome. Excited about this and also long action version of the Hunter 700...Magpul has been every impressive lately.

Meh... Long action Hunter was beyond given.

Do a Tikka version... Then I'd be really impressed!

This is a big win for the A5 crowd. Plus it makes sense that the same part will be used directly on a proper AR-10 (SR-25).


SPQR476; Will there be an included .75" stopper for use on people's carbine systems? Seems like a cheap and easy solution to that length issue.

Lots of win! Hits all the right buttons for me:

1) Lighter
2) A5 buffer system compatible
3) Ambi QD mount plate
4) Costs less

Now if Magpul would release a kick ass mag for 6.5 Grendel users, I would have to buy that too.

Awesome. I'll be lining up to buy one for an SPR type lower.

I'm very pleased that Magpul improved the things begging for improvement - A5 system, weight, cost - and left everything else alone. The basic design is excellent. I have two UBRs in use and have never thought about replacing them with something else.

Including a spacer so you can use a carbine setup is great, and I assume that's about a dime worth of plastic. Anyone with half a brain will be getting the A5 buffer and spring, but the spacer will head off any griping from the <49%-of-a-brain crowd.

Oh hell yes. The UBR was always great - I just wanted it to be A5 compatible. Lighter and less expensive are nice perks, too.

Day one purchase for my SBR.

Now if only I could get some Rifle Length MOE SL handguards out of you guys. My Dissipator build begs to be completed...
