I've been using Streamlight branded CR123 bats for a while now with no problems. They're made in the USA.

    Straight from the horse's mouth.

Yeah I have been using the Streamlight batteries also, funny how they are not on the approved SF list.

I've never peeled off the labels before. Just never thought about it I guess.

I ALMOST bought a pack of duracells on Sunday, two for $10..which is crazy since I buy a pack of SF 12 for a little under $20. I just couldn't justify it so I waited and placed another order.

I always knew about the reinforced bottom. You can see it clearly and they look tough. I usually keep two batteries taped together I my range bag, I don't like opening a box and risk them flying everywhere in the dark. Anyways I've had a couple taped together for about 3 years an just put them into an old light I have, I think the G2 somethin. Still perfect

All I know is every time my Surefire lights die at work and I buy the Duracell or Energizer 123's they don't last anywhere near as long as Surefire brand 123's and they cost more. I just buy a box of Surefire's when my old box runs low and go from there.

I've noticed the same thing. I recently tried a box of ray-o-vac, and they don't seem to last as long. I haven't really tracked how long vs sure fire, but I'll get the sf next time.
