Simple Shoot House - Carbine 11-12 June 2016 Autryville NC

    http://defensiveconceptsnc.com

The Simple Shoot House – Carbine course is a 2 day tactics-based class that is designed to teach students the fundamental principles needed to safely work alone in a fully ballistic shoot house with a carbine/rifle. These skills translate to the real world use in home defense, active shooter, and other violent situations that happen inside of a building. Skills that will be worked on during the course include: use of angles, visual clearing techniques, and shoot/no shoot decision making. This class isn’t designed to make a you a better shooter; instead it is designed to make you a better problem solver.

This course mandates the use of hard body armor capable of stopping service caliber rifle projectiles (5.56, 7.62×39, 308 etc) and a ballistic helmet. If you lack access to armor, contact us to set up the use of loaner armor.

    Sounds like an awesome class!

Now if only I could get out to NC in June...

I think that one is going to be the difficult part.

Thanks for notifying us of your availability, I hope the class fills up.

Thanks! We had 10 shooters in our pistol shoot house course last week and will likely have a similar number for this one as well. We like to keep the class size around that number since it allows the shooters to have a fair number of runs through the house

    I'd need a helmet.
If using pistol Cal, is frangible still needed?

We have loaner helmets if needed.

Frang is needed whether you are using pistol or rifle caliber carbines

    Roger that.
We have an email conversation going now, in case you hadn't figured that already.
I'll just bring the rifle. The pistol Cal is an sbr, not sure if I'd get the f5 back in time. But, it would be sweet, real short.
However, doing with the rifle, the same principles would apply to the shorter, easier gun later.

Had a real good time at this class. There were 9 of us, and the two instructors. It was blazing hot, but clear both days. Plenty of interesting scenarios, and plenty of explanation on the how's and why's of doing things. You definitely had to pay attention to what you were doing, and think things through, but as fast as safely possible.
No question was left unanswered, and there was plenty of both one on one, and group instruction.
