    Soft Armor

What design or who makes soft armor that fits in the Eagle Plate carrier?

    Dick,

If you are referring to the Interceptor OTV it more than likely made by Point Blank. That is who made mine.

    A little specificity:

They Grey Group product linked, and similar products from other vendors are PLATE BACKERS. They fit in a carrier behind a plate. Some are not even NIJ rated, only listed as plate backers(GG add shows the Paraclete as IIIA).

The product that PACA makes for Triad Tactical is designed to FILL the available space inside the Eagle Industries Plate Carrier. What this does is provide additional coverage from the "wings" on the edges of the PC sections.

You can see the wings in the photo:

Also, as one members here has noted, the laminated products (Dynema) have taken a beating in regards to contact shots. The PACA IIIA inserts are Tarwon which is a 100% aramid fiber.

    Hey Triad!

Would one of the sizes of PACA IIIA CIRAS inserts work with the beez combat system carrier I have?...

A little clarification. We sell Dyneema plate backers that are NIJ IIIA rated because they are much thinner than the Twaron. We can sell both, but our customers are usually concerned about backers fitting behind the plates. Which leads me to my next point. If contact shots are a concern with Dyneema armor then it's probably a good thing there's a hard plate in front of it.

I'm not trying to start a pissing contest. I just want to clarify anything that might have been misunderstood in previous posts.

We have both Dyneema and Twaron BALCS and RAV cut armor as well as plate backers. All in stock, depending on your size. We don't have soft armor cut for the Eagle plare carrier. Let us know what you need.

    Later,
