    The Paraclete "backers" sold by Grey Group are IIIA (Dyneema and Twaron) with the Twaron being Frag tested also.

    If you are looking for something the size of a CIRRAS any manufacturer's BALCS cut will fit.

    Contact shots are primarily an issue for uniformed patrol officers.

    For folks in other settings, it is far less of a concern and other factors may be of more importance.

    For example, in military or LE tactical team environments, the likelihood of a contact shot is dramatically reduced and in any event the presence of hard plates significantly mitigates the issue.

    Likewise in a civilian or plain clothes situation, the need for extremely thin, low profile soft armor may outweigh any contact shot issues.

    With armor, you always must assess what threats are anticipated and what the end-user requires; what is best for one factor, may not prove ideal for another...
