Exclamation Obama's final budget $4.1 TRILLION to increase spending 5%

White House proposes first $4 trillion budget

President Obama on Tuesday proposed the first $4 trillion federal budget in history.
"This budget joins his others by placing America on a fiscal path that is unsustainable and threatens our long-term economic growth," said Senate Budget Committee Chairman Mike Enzi, R-Wyo. "It is not the budget effort that hardworking taxpayers deserve, and our times and country require."

70% Of Obama’s Budget Is Writing Checks To Individuals

Buried deep in the president’s annual budget are a series of tables that few ever notice, but that are incredibly illuminating when it comes to understanding the size and scope of today’s federal government.

The table shows how much money the federal government spends on what budget officials describe as “payments to individuals.” Obama’s budget puts the figure for next year at a mind-boggling $2.9 trillion out of a $4.1 trillion budget.

In other words, more than 70% of federal spending amounts to taking money from one set of pockets, and depositing it in another.

Starting to feel like a compulsive gambler …

I keep dutifully sending off my money hoping that at some point, at nearly 13K per US individual, some of that big ol' pie is bound to come my way eventually.

I keep going to work … I guess that is where I'm going wrong …

Feels good to be able to say "Obama" and "final" in the same sentence. Only thing better will be when the latter word is "former"....
