The original ETA was the end of January. The importer has been waiting on approval since. It takes a ton of strength not to pester the importer for updates, but it won't help, so I don't.

I understand. I have a somewhat similar situation.

Waiting on a Form 3 SBR approval. I paid-in-full 01 Feb 2016 for the SBR. Forms supposedly sent the middle of February 2016 to the three letter people. Still waiting for a Form 3 dealer to dealer approval. I would then send my $200.00 in after the item arrives at the local CIII dealer.

Quite a few former Comm-Bloc countries have no problem dumping a lot of AK pistols all over the U.S. What is the issue with the 553R ? Hopefully JDI will receive additional updates.
