Decided to build my wife a blaster. Mostly a fun range time gun. After shooting my 14.5" carbine a bit I asked her what she would want in an ar. Her response was in this order, cheaper than mine, shorter/lighter than mine and yellow if possible and easier to use the sights. This is what I came up with. Again this is just to burn up ammo and have her more involved in something that I'm passionate about.

I think it's kind of gaudy and some of the parts are of questionable quality. It is safe and functions but I can be a brand snob sometimes. She is happy with it and knows to only use a cheek weld with it as it is a pistol. I wanted to sbr it but she thinks the hassle isn't worth it as she hits pumpkins and water bottles just fine. I really want my EOTech back but I have irons on my carbine and this is optics only.
