    From my brief research into linear comps. They don't look like they do much in terms of muzzle rise?

    I was thinking the same thing.
    16" barrel.
    Oem setup from RRA. I'm not sure of the buffer spring combo.

    Somewhat of a necro post, but I've found a brake at a good price on Amazon from AP Manufacturing. Made in the USA. It is very similar to a JP two-port competition brake, parked, and I believe they sell both 1/2"x24 and 1/2"x36. It came with a jam nut, but I was able to time it to fit flush with the barrel shoulder by sanding the shoulder of the brake with 60grit sandpaper laid flat on my work bench. Looks great and only cost $34 shipped. Looks better than a thread protector or birdcage.
