    Galil Ace I'm .308 now

Too bad I couldn't keep it. .308 Galil Ace that feeds from SR25 pattern mags. Pictured is IIRC 12" pistol, but they will offer 16" and 20" rifle as well.

Got to play with it to confirm rail dimensions for our GAR-6M.

If we're being honest here, that rifle is pretty ugly...

There are other guns that take AR10 mags that look much better and use less plastic for about the same price... and they happen to be AR10's

I'm obviously biased though (and disappointed that IWI decided to reneg on offering the Galil ACE for less than the Tavor...)

    Kind of want....

See. Here's my problem. Israeli stuff looks cool and seems practical but then upon closer inspection seems like something some dude hepped up on Jimson Weed would design.

technically.....I'd sooner get a SCAR for the price and aesthetics....and I'm not a SCAR guy.

In my head I want a Galil 7.62 but see it being lame in practice.

    I dunno. We'll see.

Using SR25 mags instead of something proprietary is a big plus but it's still too much money. Also, I want the old Galil.

These are interesting from the standpoint of an additional item for the reference collection. However, after shooting a pre-89 308 Galil, I have no interest in owning one as a shooter. They are massively overgassed and the ACE appears to have an even shorter gas system than the pre-89 rifles. When will we see the 5.56x45 version?

I have SCAR's buy something else. I agree about the new polymer Israeli designs. They don't appeal to me either.
