It got much better on my DD lower, but not perfect and my DD upper was flawless on the CORE lower. I only sent them the upper. It also ran much better with the DD BCG, but again, not perfect. I think there may be an issue with the BCG and the feed ramps look shallow. I will check the buffer retainer pin later this week when I get home for sure!

I wonder if Core's airboats sucked as hard as do their so called rifles.

I'm not thrilled by the rifle malfunctioning or by the fact that it's going to take a couple weeks to fix it, or by the reasons that they gave for possible malfunction, but it did take me two months to get it sent back, so I really can't bitch about time. Hopefully I get it back and it runs great. I'll keep it. I'll buy more AR's. I don't think I'll buy another Core, I'm actually sure I won't. I want other things. Another Core rifle isn't one of them. A colt is. A BCM is. A Springfield m1a is. Lol

Personally an AR that is not reliable is an anchor. Send it back or sell it during the Cankles Rebellion.

I'm going to step out on a very short and very strong limb and predict that it's not going to run when you get it back. That BS about short stroking because of the gas ring gaps is an utter and complete lie. Based on the new Core I looked at and gagged over last week while teaching a Colt Armorer course, I'd guess that your FSB is partially blocking the gas port in the barrel. Their assembly steps are simply awful on the gun I saw and I've seen and heard MANY problems on their "products" for some time. Core enthusiastically follows the TLAR method of parts assembly (they're NOT a manufacturer). TLAR = That Looks About Right.

Dump that thing and buy what you listed: Colt or BCM. There are several other brands worth considering also, but Core is not and will never be one of them.

As a side note, I recently purchased a DDM4v11 SLW from a LGS. I love it. I spent an entire Sunday morning swapping parts from my DD into the Core and never completely fixed the issue. It ran better with my DD BCG, but not flawless. I hope it runs when I get it back, but I feel at this point, it will be a varmint rifle and range toy. I really love my DD

This is why Daniel Defense is all I use. Good call cdclpc I've never really seen much to sell me on Core and places like Battle Rifle Company.

Received my upper back from Core yesterday. Paperwork with it says the replaced the upper receiver, which they did, and test fired 20 rds, which I'm doubting because it won't fit my lower. Like it fits, but not well, and I can't get the takedown pin in with my thumb. I'm sure I could if I got aggressive with it, but I shouldn't have to. The new upper will also not fit my DD lower in the same manner. I'm over it. Sent an email with pics requesting a full refund.

Another top quality product from the rednecks rifle makers at Core 15, I see.
