Makes sense, I could have got either for the same price so I thought that if I had to get sights for both I may as well get one that could be cleaned, not sure if thats even an issue???? The Octane is no longer available so that may have made my choice for me, not sure how much longer I want to wait?

    Thanks

I talked to Josh at Capitol Armory about the Osprey K and standard size. This was his reply:

    "Between the Osprey 45 and K, I
personally like the Osprey 45 quite a bit. For rifles, I
value the suppressor being short but for pistols it's
not as big of a deal. The size difference is there, but
the K is significantly louder than the full size. My logic
on that is I'm already hanging a bunch off of a pistol
(so keeping it in a bedside safe, holster, etc get's
rough) and saving an inch isn't going to really benefit
me much. Some folks have different priorities though, so
just depends if you value a short can, or one that preforms
    better.

I bought the Osprey, and while it is noticeable, I doubt the K would be a significantly less obtrusive can. I love the use-ability of the Osprey since I have run it on an HK 45, multiple 9mm pistols (124gr-147g), and a sbr'ed PS90. It has been hearing safe with all. Depending on your gun, you may or may not be able to look over the can with the sights. Ive gotten used to just super imposing the front sight dot onto the target despite the fact that the can technically blocks the view.
