Geissele Super Gas Block touching handguard

I had the same problem with the Geissele block and an Erath3 handguard. There was a lot of contact. Had a CMMG low pro block and it worked perfectly. I like the Geissele block because it's very stout and easily pinned to the barrel but it doesn't play well with some skinny rails.

Obviously any contact between the barrel and rail is "no bueno".

Our MicroPin Gas Block should fit under most rails and is easily pinnable, as the name implies.

I looked at the product online and don't understand how the pinning works. The dimple is not sufficient? I literally have to drill a hole in the barrel? Keep in mind I am new to building AR 15s.

I assembled my build this weekend and the Mega Arms Wedgelock Handguard is touching the gas block at the bottom. Should I try and file it down or change it?

Thanks! Hodge Defense is using the same handguard and they have the correct size. It takes a Micro not a low profile. Mega Arms customer service can't even tell me what will fit. You would think that they would have a list since their handguard is so narrow compared to the standard ones. So I am disassembling my upper. Thanks Mega Arms for the waste of time and money. I have to have a gunsmith take off my comp since I don't have a vise and my buddy is busy.

HDSI designed the rail, and then designed the gas block. Mega and SLR just produce them, respectively. They were made for each other, with each other in mind.

I got one on the way. I should've tested the clearance. Newbie mistake.
