Coming along nicely.
~Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

I got damn lucky today and found a deal that I couldn't pass up on.
Just got this one for $150 at a gun store in the middle of nowhere. Does anyone know how hard it will be to put the front sight tower on myself? I hope that by saving $100 and 12 weeks will be worth the extra labor.

Try this. Parts 1 & 2. Looks to be the easiest to do at home without a jig.

You can also try one of these:

They have all barrel sizes and options.
Hope this gets you started.

Good valid question. I was concerned about that myself. I bought the unit I will be using for the faux front sight on a dissipator build in which I'll be using a low profile gas block for the actual gas block function. I have never used this sight yet as a functional gas block.
I know the piece I got from Fulton simply has the gas pin holes drilled and these pin holes are threaded. You can either use these pin holes for pins (drilling through the barrel as is usually done) or use the set-screws that come with the sight to mount the piece without drilling the pin holes.
I do however have a coworker that builds on the side and he claims he has NEVER used a pin-on site. His name is Justin and he can be reached on his business line @ 832-705-9510, and/or at Justin@JVICTORTECH.COM (Juliet Victor Technologies, LLC).
If you have any further questions and/or need further assistance I have another individual I can refer you to locally that I have used a few years back.

My true concern is will it shift and affect my zero since it is going on my new sbr(pending) or on my current pistol lower(if need to be) and I'm using irons only so my zero is kinda important along with use of the gas port.
