    Got to take it to the range yesterday with my son. Indoor range that only goes to 25 yards but I was at least able to zero it at that distance. First 5 rounds made a nice little ragged one hole group, about 2.5 inches below the bull with the exception of one flyer that I know I was all me. I adjusted the front sight and the next group was all in the bullseye. Between my son and I shooting it, we put 100 rounds through it. It's a good little shooter and I know it's gonna be one of my favorites to plink with.

    Nice looking build.

    This is a pic of my mid-1980s Rock Island Armory XM15A1 shorty. I know- not the correct comp/flashhider and Slip ring, but this is how it came from the factory.

    Actually, the XM177E2 used the Delta ring. The XM177 and XM1771E1 used the flat ring. You are closer to having the right slip ring than you think.

    This is EXACTLY what I have in the works. Waiting on the tax stamp now from ATF.
