Cannibalize DD A1.5 rear sight for A1 upper? (Also: CSAT rear sight.)

Due to the difficulty in locating A1 rear sight kits, I'm wondering if anyone knows if the Daniel Defense A1.5 rear sights can be disassembled and the parts reassembled onto an A1 upper receiver.

And on that note, if the CSAT rear sights can be used in conjunction with either the DD A1.5 parts or standard A1 rear sight parts.

    Thanks!

    Never ordered from them, but:

CSAT aperture(not the Troy model) will work fine as will an A2 aperture.

Thanks, but, "Product not available." (Been running into that a lot recently.)

Call Windham Weaponry. From what I have seen and heard from others on another forum, they have them, but they are not listed on their website.

ETA: I happen to have an A1 rear sight kit from an original M16, but I am not about to part with it. These are too hard to get and valuable. Make sure you call Windham.

So I bought a CSAT sight set and installed the rear sight with the A1 sight set off GB that Iraqgunz posted previously, but the rear sight is extremely difficult to adjust, even with generous lubrication and an A1 rear sight tool.

Is this normal for a freshly assembled A1 rear sight?

I have a CSAT installed in an A1 and don't have any issue with adjustment. Mine is a colt from the late 90s

Tight fit, maybe needs a little polishing of the contact surfaces
