K31 Swiss Rifle 1948, Hand Select, All Matching Ser. #'s

Up for sale is a beautiful K31 (Karabiner 1931) Swiss rifle chambered in 7.5x55 SWISS, with all matching serial numbers indicating a production year of 1948. Beech wood stock appears as though it was never refinished with sharp edges at hand grips and deep pronounced cartouche mark of Swiss shield in the butt as is found on all K31's with refinished stocks. Again all serial numbers match. The bluing is dark, no rust or corrosion. These were arsenaled and swabbed in grease and then shipped to the US. I purchased a few and all were "Hand Select" - chosen for remarkable condition. Bore is mirror bright. I never fired this rifle, I cleaned the grease out of the bore, applied a oiled patch and placed in a de-humidified safe. Asking $475.00 Prices on these have gone up as they are getting harder to acquire for less than $500. These rifles are renowned for incredible accuracy (sub MOA), hammer forged barrels and precision function. Thanks for looking. Compare this price to those on other sites where they can be found. text me at 406.890.4979

I had the rifle inspected today by one of the leaders in the Swiss rifle community. The rifle was bore scoped as well. His statements were that the rifle, "Has never been refinished and is in excellent condition". The bore, "appears to have around 2000-3000 rounds through it which is normal". He states that it is worth what I am asking. He is one of the leading importers as well as after market parts and gunsmithing on the K31 rifle here in the US. PM for details.
