What are the differences between a Saiga receiver build compared to a DCI / NDS receiver build? Is it mainly the parts kit, i.e. Romanian, or the builder?

A question on Saiga builds. Are these different than DCI / NDS U.S. stamped receiver builds in that the Saiga receivers have their own internals, while with the NDS builds you need a kit to complete the receiver?

If so, is this an advantage for Saiga based builds?

eta: I think I found my answer - Saiga builds are based on imported / converted Saiga hunting rifle receivers, with internals from Izhmash in Russia.
