Finally ordered a 4'x8'x3/8" sheet of AR400 for long range shooting can't wait to get it setup. Its difficult to spot misses where we shoot its way to green most of the year even in winter.

I would want to shoot it just because.
Hit the surrounding area with roundup if possible. Buy a spotting scope and have your buddy spot for you.

I'd have half the field dead but in a different target location that would work well
Just paint a silhouette on the steel and call your hits and misses. Should be great fun.

We've found that 1/4" AR500 works best at 1000. 3/8" does not offer enough audible signature. If you have it painted and can drive out to it for paint touch ups, 3/8 should offer good visual.
