Does it use the same stock as the 55x?

    What's MSRP?
Yes it takes the same stock as the 55x series. Price is $4000 + $30 shipping.

I would look hard at it for 3 grand but the price combined with 75 dollar mags makes it too expensive given alternatives.

If a large number of people are willing to kill you for saying something, then it probably really needs to be said. .

SAPR would be sweet to own. What US parts are folks using?

Much as I love SIGs, I have to agree. I see a SR25 in my future.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

I emailed Dave a few days ago regarding the SG 553 R pistol that I have on order and took the opportunity to ask about 751 SAPR pistol. As much as I'd love to have one, $4k is just too much for me to justify to myself. So, I told him that I'd pass on the 751 SAPR pistol, but asked him to let me know if he imports the rifle version. He replied that it's in the works. That's much more of a possibility for me as larger cartridges and SBR's don't go together in my opinion.

What's the MSRP on the 553R?

    Do it.

If it were 15 years ago, I would think the Sig would be great. But in a world of modern SR-25s and plentiful Pmags.....why bother?

I don't think there's an official MSRP, but it's $2,600 + $30 for shipping + $325 for the matching buttstock + $10 for the hinge pin & spring. Then of course you'll have to get 922(r) compliance parts (magazine and trigger group which I'm hoping to get from my 556 SBR) and the $200 stamp for the privilege of exercising your Constitutional right. So, I'm looking at $3,165 for one heck of a cool 7.62x39 rifle of which there will only be 100 in the country (until they import more). I think I'm going to mount a Mepro M21 on it (unless someone can think up a smaller optic that works with my poor close in vision).

    Because it's a collectible rifle.
