    Thank you.

Is the 16" barrel only on the 551-A1 or does the Swiss made 551 come with 16" as an option?

The Swiss made 551, is only available with the short (14.3") and long barrel (17.8").

16" is not available in a Swiss built product.

The 14.3" SB, is already sold out.

If you want a numbers matching 551, the only option is the soon to be released 551 LB.

If you are set on the SB, the only direct option is to buy a Swiss 55X series product and purchase the soon to be released 551 SB upper conversion kit.

I have not found them in stock at JDI at all this year, must be my bad timing.

Thank you for the info on the 16" barrel.

I was fortunate to get one of the JDI 551 SBs, serial number 001 actually. Just need to decide if I want a LB version as well.

    I need a 553 SBR and a 551 LB.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

Well, NOW we can get a real 751 SAPR 18" barrel.. This has the Versa-pod and 7 U.S. parts with the Hogue grip, so it's 922(r).
It was interesting that the rails on the 552's were not B&T at all -at least the two that I have.
After getting the 552, I just had to get a Swiss Arms airsoft. The lower rail was identical.. Picked up an extra 552-2SP handguard with rail from Gatewood and it wasn't B&T either..?! I'm sure Dave will get some soon.

I assume this is a picture of an 18" SAPR. Most of the pics I find on the web are 16" euro models. I do not find a lot of foreign reviews, on the SAPR 751.

Please do elaborate as to how you got to 7 US parts.
