Best lightweight barrel for my 6721--and who can install?

    Hey guys,

I want to rebarrel my 6721 with something lighter. I don't care about the M4 profile (pro or con) I just want something high quality and light. Any suggestions?

Further, where is the best place to get it done? How much?
Let those who are fond of blaming and finding fault, while they sit safely at home, ask, ‘Why did you not do thus and so?’I wish they were on this voyage; I well believe that another voyage of a different kind awaits them.”

Give Grant a call and see if you can get on of those Noveske N4 tubes put on. Put a quality barrel on your Colt.

    Found these at Numrich...

No flash hider, but Adco could prolly thread one... It's a 6530 barrel but I'm pretty sure that's about the same as a 6520 but without the flash hider.

With the threading and pinning a FSB assembly it's still probably cheaper than an all new colt barrel.

Shoot, if you really wanted get Adco to cut it to 14.7", pin an A2 and put on a FSB...

Then again, you could just send your existing barrel and have it recontoured.

I've had several similar barrels reprofiled to various weights. I'd not think twice about doing a 6721. Keep the quality barrel and get the weight you want.

Second choice- Acquire AR6520 (Gov Carbine) barrel, or Noveske N4.

You're at pretty well light as you can go. Maybe one of those 653 barrels that are floating around.

Go quality, man. There are a few dealers selling LMT and Noveske barrels. Or you may want to replace the whole upper with a LMT or BCM upper.

One can go substantially lighter than the 6721. It's an HBAR under the HG.

as for installing, buy a set of pin punches and a barrel nut wrench and do it yourself.

go here for the barrel that you need/want :

or you can send it here: http://www.specializedarmament.com/c..._15-201-0.html
