Who do you recommend for getting a barrel cut?

Hi guys, got a form 1 in on a Colt 9mm carbine I have, and looking to get the barrel chopped to 10.5 in. and threaded. Any suggestions on who to go to? I see ADCO does it, but looking for options...Thanks much

ADCO has done work for me. Pleased with their service.

Morgan at Class III Machining has a great reputation as well.

Ive used adco and was pleased, but wasn't a cut/thread job.

I see ranier arms being suggested a lot as well.

    Another vote for ADCO.
Total turn around including shipping time is usually less than a week.

I have had at three barrels cut/threaded, and one reprofiled by ADCO. All I can say is the work looks great and the turn around time was excellent. Turn around ranged from shipped out the same day they received it (9mm cut job) to three days for a complete reprofile.

I recommend buying a new 10.5" barrel that is already threaded. Save the Colt barrel so you can sell it with the rifle should you ever. A high quality threaded AR9 barrel is not much more expensive than getting your current barrel threaded once you account for shipping and wait time. It's not like the barrel is some funky proprietary barrel that the only way to SBR it is to cut it.
