Muzzle brake suggestions for 3 Gun?
Tried the Precision Armament M4-72... it did its job too damn well. My eyes would burn from the blowback from the directional ports. Any suggestions?

Strike's "JP Comp" works pretty well.
Not as effective as the M-72, but not as abusive either.
Everything has a trade off.
I also have the M- 72 comps on a couple AR 15's and a .308 AR.
They do shoot flat.
The concussion and muzzle blast is severe, especially with the .308.

All effective brakes are loud and unpleasant.
AR15 Performance sells a variety of muzzle brakes. I have their "Eliminator competition brake" on a 16" upper and it's fairly effective with noticeably less blast and flash than other brakes I've used. It's also a lower priced option at $51.

The PRI "Quiet Control" brake also seems less unpleasant than many when considering its fairly good effectiveness. They are about $80 at MidwayUSA and probably 20 other retailers.

As far as best value, I think the Miculek Brake is one of the best (just personal experience) for the cost. I've also got a Surefire MB556K on an SPR that I used for a DMR Match (rifle from 5-725 yards). It was a very effective brake but the stage in the connex box made me glad for double ear pro.

Bennie Cooley (JP) comp is effective and not abusive. Miculek is most effective for the price. I use the Cooley on my 18" gun but thinking about trying the Seekins on my new 16" build.

Lantac Dragon and Rise Armament

Another one that is really good and not super offensive is the VG6 Gamma. It finished higher than the Lantac Dragon, and I don't find it nearly as loud as my Precision Armament M4-72. Everything is a trade off though. It's less dramatic to shoot, but less effective. Still very good though.

If you are running a SiCo Suppressor ever, the 3 chamber brake they have is offensive and flat shooting.. on an 11.5.
