I'm taking a SWAG of $75 or less. The biggest issue right now will be quantity and the coating process. He gets charged a flat rate per batch, no matter how many (I have to assume there's a max number of pieces, but don't know what that is).

Dividing that cost over a dozen makes them more expensive than doing 100.

He was supposed to finish up some Omega/Hybrid direct thread adapters later this week and then starting thinking/working on this. I'd hope to have a better idea of cost in a couple weeks.

Just as a point of reference, the SS Trident adapter pictures earlier in the thread was $35/shipped. The blast shield will take a little more material, plus the coating. It won't need the external threads, but the external ring and internal taper will take machining time.

As soon as I know something, y'all will know something.

I might be down for at least one. I like Will's design as well, simple but has a little character.

Thanks. A 3" blast shield should work for any of them.

An update on the blast shield. He has a knurling tool that's almost identical to the Specwar/Omega lock ring, and he'll use that on the prototype. Turns out the coating shouldn't be too expensive. He can have a black oxide treatment done to the stainless steel for $150-$200 a batch. So, assuming we do a batch of 100, that's only a max of $2 extra. Also, probably going to go with 1.5" OD, as that's a fairly common off-the-shelf OD so no machining time required to turn them down..as well as it matching most centerfire cans in size.

So, his first estimate is $60. He hopes to have one done by Labor Day, as he has a couple small projects already in line. That's when he'll have a better idea of cost. Once he can show a us a sample, we'll see if we can nail down a better count.

I'll take at least 2 in the $60 price range regardless of the details of the look....

Picked up my two reworked end caps today along with the 1/2-28 DT adapter:

Omega was 11.5oz with Ti 5.56 end cap and 1/2-28 adapter.
