Are these retro uppers coming with M4 ramps? I really want to put together a commando with an A1 upper. I want an iron sight Commando that doesn't have iron sights held on by screws and loc tite.

Along with the Colt Model 609, the Colt Model 610 was the first Colt Carbine to see wide scale
production and use by US Military Forces. The Colt Model 610 entered US Military Service with the US
Air Force and was given the designation of XM177. The primary difference between the Model 609 and
610 was the presence of a Forward Assist on the 609 and the lack of a Forward Assist on the 610. The
Colt Model 610 was also later given the USAF designation of GAU-5A.

Back then, how a lower was marked had no real bearing on how it was designated. Many times they were changed around. The Model 610 was originally designated as the XM177. It was later re-designated by the Air Force as the GAU-5/A. The Model 630 was also designated as a GUA-5/A and eventually the GAU-5A/A. It was the Air Force equivalent of the Model 629/XM177E2 except without the forward assist. There was a lot of ambiguity on the carbines used by the Air Force. They had a habit of re-configuring some of the carbines that came over from the Army and, therefore, re-designating them.

What I am talking about are factory built guns.
A 609 is a XM177E1 and is marked PROPERTY OF US GOVT COMMANDO
A 610 is a GAU-5/A and is marked PROPERTY OF US GOVT GAU-5/A
A 629 is a XM177E2 and is marked PROPERTY OF US GOVT XM177E2
A 630 is a GAU-5/A/A and is marked PROPERTY OF US GOVT GAU-5/A/A
This is how they left the factory.
