    Centurion Gas block Pinning Jig

Does anyone happen to know if there is a pinning jig that fits the Centurion Arms Low Profile gas block?

Why do you need to pin it? Is it exposed?

No need. BCM doesnt pin a thing and I guarantee that you will not find one that has walked off the gun. Now if you do not know how to properly dimple and loctite are GB, then I understand your concern.

I also never pin a GB on any of my AR's either.

The Centurion block is modeled after a MK12 and I do not think there is a way to pin it.

Some may offer a different viewpoint on proper pinning vs proper dimple and threads, just depends on the application of those components. Not all can be lumped up into a single sum.

I have a Centurion Arms gas block under my first gen CMR as it was one of only a few, at the time, that were known to fit. The gas block uses a single setscrew and has flats for drilling and pinning. I had it assembled to a Centurion Arms barrel by AR15Barrels.com who had a problem with the gas block rotating when he pinned it. He didn't realize this and I discovered the issue afterwards and sent it back for a redo.

Definitely make sure the gas block is aligned and clamped down properly before drilling for the pin!

The first two pics below are stock photos from the CA website and the third is my misaligned block with the pin sticking out the side.

Thanks for the info. That is exactly why I am interested in a Jig. The BRD Engineering Jig fits the Vltor/BCM/Rainier gas blocks but I dont know how close they all are to Centurion. Perhaps it would work with slight modification...

I realize that as I have built well close to 100 uppers using that block. So I will clarify. It will not be easy to do and will require a knowledgeable and skilled person to do it right.
