If all you wanted was the look, why ask us? Did you not already have your mind made up? Lot's of guys on this board do care about how their stick looks, but not at the expense of functionality. "Does it work" is usually the primary concern. Like I said before I use their mag extensions (3gun) and they work.

I had a customer come in with one a while back. It was huge, heavy, and didn't fit under his rail. I don't understand it either.

More than likely it was finished with a distressed look. It looks like the finish of rifles that get used without having to actually use your rifle.
