Will changing your lower affect your zero

Have any of you found shifts in zero by changing your lower from the existing lower to a new one? If so, what has been your experience? I would think that it would not affect zero much if any, however, I'm not certain.

4th that with one caveat, you may not shoot it the same due to the trigger, grip, stock or any combination of the three.

This, plus maybe if there is some ridiculous amount of play between the upper and lower.
Technically, this wouldn't affect the accuracy of the upper itself, but it would affect the accuracy of the whole package.

Mechanically, it will not affect your zero. I've swapped upper/lower combinations between my rifles many times without effect to the mechanical zero of the barrel and optic. But, as others have said, swapping lowers may change how you actually hold the rifle and get a sight picture. Those changes may affect your perceived point of impact.

Buffer and spring weight can affect projectile velocity significantly for the long distance shooter.

I thought the bullet exits the barrel before the bolt even unlocks?

Unless you have like a pistol-length gas system on a 24" barreled AR?
