I can't help you much with that. I am pretty sure that the Griffin 3-lug adapter is shorter than the SilencerCo adapter by a little more than an inch, but I'm not sure about the OD of the spring collar. I don't think that the length of the adapter would cause any issue.
From my eyeball estimate, the spring collar of the SilencerCo adapter has about 1/16" clearance with the inside of the rail.

No the Griffin adapter does not work it's to short.
