Sorry to necropost; but i wanted to say thanks for making this thread. It led me to pickup the Streamlight, of which i am quite pleased. The mount is definitely trash, though, as mine failed within about 400rds (the picatinny adapter). I now have it direct mounted to a Magpul mount which appears to be stable for now. Anyways, thanks again for your consistent knowledge of these subjects as i frequently enjoy reading your threads.

Thanks for the review, I recently grabbed an RM2 on a whim to try out alongside my M600's and I was pretty blown away by the
performance, if the durability is there I think SL is going to sell a ton of these, now I'm looking forward to the HLX version.

I can attest to durability of these. Mounted 8 of them on 870s as a prototype weapon mounted light for my agency, during the week of in-service quals each light saw at least 96 rounds of 00 buckshot plus a few slug rounds and no failures thus far.
