I just ordered a lower with the idea of building a pistol. I can't decide on caliber, .223 or .300 AAC. I am leaning toward the .300. How reliable are they in the sub 10 inch barrels?

1st question is what is it's intended use ?? Blackout is great if your going to run suppress, if not it's a pricey round. And Blackout was designed to run on a 9" barrel...

I was going to use it as a range toy but also it may be a home defense gun as well. Suppressor may come later.

My 8" barrelled Blackout AR is as accurate as my 16". Just a little bit less velocity, and never a cycling problem.
