OK, looking for real world experience with BCM Mod 1 vs Vltor VC-301, both in 308.
Priorities as follows:
1. Muzzle Flip
2. Recoil
3. Flash
Thanks in advance.

Not on your list but PWS is great at reducing flip and recoil. It's as loud as F16 fighter jet though...

The Surefire brake works very well and looks good. The SJC brake is even better for competition.... But not tacticool very looking....

If you live where you can have a suppressor, get a comp that mounts a can. I was going Surefire, but am now leaning YHM just because I like the fact that you have to manipulate zero locking devices. Screw on, screw off, the ratchets keep it on.
You know what I like best about most people?
Their dogs.

Outstanding flash mitigation. Ports do a nice job of keeping the muzzle flat and on target
Proper Planing Prevents Piss Poor Performance.......
Truth About Guns has tests of comps (tested a ton of them) whereas Precision Rifle Blog tested some for recoil reduction, muzzle flip and noise. More effective = more noise. Some put the noise out to the sides, some back to the rear.
Take a look at KAC MAMMS...pricey but you get what you pay for
