If I didn't have a 17S I would get a Ace to have next to my Tavor.

I remember reading about the original 7.62 NATO Galils having issues.

I hope IMI/IWI have worked out the bugs since then. I think the price is about right for a new milled 7.62 NATO gun.

Part of me is ambivalent. On one hand it looks like a neat battle rifle, on the other, I dunno. Same with a Tavor. Didnt like it. Looked down on it. But finally shot an 18" config and it seemed not bad. Not good as AUG but not bad.

I liked the AK ACE but got a cheaper actual milled AK.

I know the South Americans love these new Galils and of them all, I want the 5.56.

Provided no malicious legislation occurs, I might get one when I have more shekels.

My problem is I like fun stuff and weird stuff but at the end of the day my Glock 21, my KAC, and my OG 6920 are my go to "comfort" guns. And I dont consider myself a collector.

I'm curious to see how accurate these guns are in 308. Anyone with any input?

Handled two of them at two different LGS in the last two days. One was $2110.00. Pass.

It is well built and would appear to be an excellent rifle just from inspecting them. Inexpensive PMAGS are a big plus IMHO but not enough to offset the cost of feeding it a diet of .308. If we still had cheap SA surplus or Portuguese 7.62 I'd buy one.
