    You're racist if you are against it. Yes, most suppressors are Black.
    It's a Common Sense bit of legislation. {breathless pleading Obama voice: "Who doesn't what to protect their hearing?!"}

    Did I miss any?

    What if though they are taken off the Fed list and States outlaw them. If they are firearms, States would have a more difficult time doing so. If not firearms, maybe not so much. We can't have radar detectors in VA. What's to stop them saying no mufflers on your gun? I worry about this due to VA being artificially BLUE with a 2A oppressive representation in the Tim Kaine brotherhood.

    Not sure if anyone here has seen this yet.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/world...=.7f099652067e

    From the article:

    "The second-highest-ranking official at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has written a proposal to reduce gun regulations, including examining a possible end to the ban on importing assault weapons into the United States."

    The article mentions suppressors as well.

    UPDATE: More info, including info on suppressors and AR15 pistol braces.

    If true seems more like an effort to justify their continued irrelevancy.

    Nothing short of dissolving and defunding their existence is acceptable however

    Agree 100%

    As much as I'd love for them to have a come to Jesus moment, I'd much rather the ATF just simply go away completely. They flip flop enough as it is to not trust any move they make.

    I think that white paper is the ATF leadership seeing which way the wind is blowing and trying not to get knocked down by it. They think they can get ahead of the deregulatory push.

    What do you want to bet the genesis for this is the pain theyre having from the 2 for 1 EO?

    What's the 2 for 1 EO? I suppose it should be obvious but I'm drawing a blank.

    Trump signed an executive order that all new regulations had to be accompanied by removal of two existing regulations.
