(NSFW) And this is why we can't have nice things, but at the same time....

An attorney submits on behalf of his client a technical question to ATF Technical Branch regarding mounting a "fleshlight -" yes, it is spelled correctly - to the male crotch or sex organ. The ATF's response is included as well.

In your opinion, did ATF respond appropriately to the submittal, or should legal action be pursued??

He should do us a favor and mount the barrel to the roof of his mouth.

I'm told it is a genuine letter.

    1) The questions are legitimate, and 2) ATF are responsible for the mess in the first place, so ATF is obligated to respond.

That was a much needed laugh tonight.

They have an opinion on everything thing else, I don't see why this should be any different.

In jest or not. If they can send out clarification that changes or contradicts what they said before like the original letter that was in regards to shouldering the brace, they can take the time to answer this letter.

Whoever came up with this idea is a freaking genius! Not only was he smart enough to poke the ATF in the eye with their idiotic shouldering language but he was smart enough to use attorney-client privilege and not have his name known to the ATF! Brilliant!!!

Your first post on M4Carbine.net is to proclaim how brilliant it is to ask the ATF about putting a sex toy on an AR-15.

    What an entrance.

Thank you! But I've been on here under another user name. You don't really think this guy was serious do you? It was total sarcasm. Hence the reason the ATF declined to comment.
