How would old-fashioned two-piece bases work with this rifle?

I am running a 30 MOA Seekins rail and Seekins rings. Gives me plenty of come-up when I want to just lob rounds at distances a .308 really should not be used at...

Rem 700 ACC-SD in a MDT LSS Chassis, Luth-AR stock, Timney trigger with Vortex HS-T 4.5-16, 20mm two piece WARNE steel bases with Warne Rings and a Gemtech Tracker silencer.

    They shoot just fine.

100 yards, 9 shots, 168 gr AMAX at 2675 fps

Here are some thoughts on one piece bases vice two piece bases from a precision rifle builder. I chose the two piece base to allow for easier single shot loading

Chorizo, that's some damned fine shooting.

I run a bedded LaRue Tactical 20 MOA rail and lapped PRS rings holding an SWFA 5-15x42 on my Rem 700 AAC-SD 16.5". This setup works great for my needs and allows me to spin the turrets out to 800+ yards without issue.

A lot of good advice has been presented, but here is my recommendation .

If you are planning on shooting over 500 get a 20MOA rail . If you are not then you can stick with a 0 MOA rail and. It be at any disadvantage.
