Sig P320 sight variations from the factory?

Hey guys, wondering if anyone could answer a question about the p320c sight #'s that come from the factory. I noticed on mine that it has a #6 front, and a #8 rear. I shot it this past weekend and it seemed POI but I did not shoot it farther than 7 yards at the indoor range. Further research has shown me that there have been people that have gotten #6 rears and #8 fronts, and #8's on both. Does anyone know why some are set up like this and/or what the correct numbers are? I was thinking of replacing them but nor sure what to get. Thanks

My P320 compact came from the factory with #8 sights on both front and rear. It shot way high. I returned it to Sig and they replaced the rear with a #6 sight. Shoots dead on now. Sig did this sight change under warranty and the turnaround was about 10 days total so I was pleased.

You might check over at Sig Talk forum as there has been a good bit of discussion about this sight issue. It seems that Sig really doesn't ship all 320 compacts with the same sight setup. The reason, if there is one, is unknown to me and others.

    Good luck.

Sounds like a response to warranty claims of POA / POI issues?

Picked up a full size 9mm and it has #6 front and #8 rear. I haven't taken it to the range yet to see where the POI is. Hope it doesn't need a trip back to Sig as I've read 9mm should have 8/8.

When I shot the 8/8 sighted guns from the bench with our 147 Ranger ammo it was grouping consistently 3 inches high at 25 yards. That is why we requested the rear sight be #6. David

You seem to have a handle on the Sig sights.

At my local range I'm limited to 50 feet maximum.

What number sights on a P320 would you recommend for a #2 hold ?

    I shoot 115 & 147gr practice & GD124 +P defense
