Magpul PMAG M3 in Medium Coyote Tan - coming in February 2017

I haven't seen Magpul mention this here yet, so I thought I'd post it. Very cool to see them offering their M3 PMAG in Medium Coyote Tan (MCT), the base color that the Army has adopted to go with the new Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP - not to be confused with OEF Camouflage Pattern, a.k.a. Multicam). Apparently Magpul figured out how to make their extra strong plastic in another color besides black and sand. And it will match my T-shirts, belt, and boots!

As always, they released an entertaining video to announce it:

I have to say, I think this color looks good on the M3. I may even prefer it over FDE. Looks like I'm going to have to spend more money, but maybe I can write it off as a work expense!

EDIT: P.S. I hope there's an MCT D-60 in the works!

I have been buying window mags lately. Dammit, I need one of these too.

It was just a matter of time. Let's hope the spines don't split like they do on the M2 FDE mags.

I still like the old straight 20 rounders, even with their alleged faults. Wish they still made 'em.

Not me, gimme the ol' reliable "load one at a time up through the magwell". Mags are for people who never learnt shot placement!

(More ammo capacity is for me. I haven't had any problems with my 40rnders yet.)

I still like, and buy, M2 PMAGs. They fit just fine in all the rifles that I use. I also like PMAG Ranger plates (I know not everyone does). The one thing I prefer about M3s is the narrower baseplate, and corresponding narrow Ranger plate. When carrying PMAGs in a double magazine pouch, the M2s tend to be a little "fat" because of their wider baseplates. I plan to continue to collect a variety of magazines, including both M2 and M3 PMAGs, but I'd prefer non-black magazines for work, so the fact that they're offering them in our new standard Army color is a bonus for me.
