Remington 700, H-S Precision Stock, AI Magazine Bottom Metal Question

    Gentlemen,

I have several Remington 700s which are outfitted with H-S precision stocks.

I would like to purchase a bottom metal for them that can accept AI magazines. I want this bottom metal to involve minimal to no fitting/sanding. What are my options?

I don't want to use H-S Precision's proprietary magazine system.

I installed a Wyatts Outdoor kits to my buddies 700P a couple of years ago. It dropped right in and works well still.

What type of magazines does it use? Doesn't look to be an AI magazine.

Sorry bud. I missed the AI mag requirement. They are high quality mags from my experience but they are proprietary.

There is no drop in DBM for HS Precision stocks that will accept AICS magazines. The inlet for a Remington BDL isn't large enough or deep enough to use the AICS magazines; it has to be machined for it to all work. The cost isn't that much though, I think I had it done for about $100 including shipping to send it to GA Precision to have my B&C done a few years ago.

This company inlets for free with purchase. It's ok, wee bit loose though. I no longer have it or a blemington, one usually gains wisdom in age.
